Eyelid reconstruction is performed on-site at our accredited surgical facility in Las Vegas, NV. Depending on the complexity of your condition, reconstructive surgery may take anywhere from around 1 to 3 hours. For superficial deformities, Dr. Myint will use simple techniques to correct these issues. In more intricate cases, a skin graft or flap may be required to complete the reconstruction. Severe cases also generally require more than one surgery (staged reconstruction).

After surgery, it’s normal to experience swelling, bruising, and discomfort in and around the treatment area. These symptoms should fade over the next few weeks as the eyelids heal and can typically be eased with cold therapy and pain medication.
A follow-up exam is typically set up about one week after your surgery, but sutures are usually removed after around 4 to 5 days.
