What is eyelid surgery?

Dr. Myint performs the Myint Eyelift procedure while the patient is under local anesthesia, meaning there is sometimes no need for IV sedation. During the procedure, patients are awake and comfortable. We perform this eyelid surgery at our fully-accredited surgery center on an outpatient basis. First, a tiny incision is made in the upper eyelid crease, so it is hidden. A small portion of skin, and sometimes either muscle or fat, may be removed or repositioned. Stitches are used and then removed about a week after surgery. If the lower eyelid is being worked on, an incision is made inside the eyelid to limit scarring. The bags are improved by moving them to maintain volume where you need it most.
